2013 Ford F-150 Review

Not only is the Ford F-150 the best selling pickup truck, it’s an American staple. Converting a truck into a mobile workstation is nothing new to Lexington area truck owners. In fact, for the past 65 years, it’s been a way of life. Ford constantly works to improve the F-150’s technology and utility, and the 2013 Ford F-150 is the most advanced one yet. It completely transforms what it means to work on the road. With over 50 unique combinations to choose from, Ford offers a seemingly limitless number of functional tools and amenities to add to the mix so you can create the F-150 that best suits your lifestyle.

2013 Ford F-150

Gone are the days of trucks stripped of the many optional amenity comforts car and SUV owners experience such as convenient keyless entry, remote ignition, and sunroofs, all which can be had on the 2013 F-150. With a redesigned grille, available interior wood accents, and up to 20-inch wheels, the F-150 has a fresh look. The new F-150 provides toughly built amenities that can withstand daily wear and tear like tailgate and box side steps, power-folding heated auto-dimming mirrors, power-extending side mirrors, power adjusted steering wheel, HID headlamps, fog lights, integrated trailer brake controller, rear parking sensors, a rear view camera, and automatic wipers. It doesn’t stop there; ventilated front seats and heated rear seats make a hard days work a little bit easier.

The intuitive new technology available within the 2013 F-150 revolutionizes both everyday and work use through SYNC and the MyFord Touch infotainment systems. On select trims, SYNC enables drivers with Bluetooth to make hands-free calls or stream music over a premium Sony sound system by voice activation or the controls mounted on a leather wrapped steering wheel. In addition, SYNC’s 911 Assist crash-notification will alert emergency responders in the event of an accident or if voice activated. Used in combination with the SYNC system, the MyFord Touch 4.2-inch or 8-inch LCD screen acts as the central hub for a host of applications such as satellite radio, navigation, 411, as well as an information center for sports, news, stocks, and more. The MyFord system also mediates audible text messaging, and voice enabled climate control. Along with a standard USB port, SD card reader, and auxiliary input, some trims offer SYNC with MyFord Touch complementary for 3 years!

Where SYNC and MyFord Touch are the brains of the F-150, it gets its brawn from one of four powerful engine choices ranging from a 3.7-liter flexfuel V6 with 301-hp to a gasoline run 6.2-liter V8 with 411-hp. A 6-speed automatic transmission keeps all engines running efficiently and achieving their best with an 11,300 lbs. towing capacity.

With extensive available comfort, technology, and utility — whether you’re out towing, off-roading, or just working in the cabin’s “office” — the 2013 Ford F-150 has a package for everyone, so you can get the most out of your Ford.
